It’s my brother’s Year 12 formal tonight. My friend Ben just sent me a blurry photo of him and my brother from about ten minutes ago. I was never really one for formals and all that but still, this is a pretty big deal for my brother, and it sucks that I’m 2373km away.

Tomorrow one of my best friends is having his 21st birthday party and tonight the girl that I’ve been with for the last three years is on a date, both of which are 2051km away.

Meanwhile, I’ll be sitting in my room with the heater on, drinking coffee and watching today’s Community, The Office, and starting either The Killing or Game Of Thrones. Might even finally watch more than two episodes of The Wire. I don’t like living in Adelaide.

This is a pretty self-explanatory post, here’re a bunch of scans from some of my sketchbooks. Some are okay, some are bad, some are really old. I actually really like the Black Canary cover, but I have no inking skills so I guess it’ll stay like that forever (hint).

But I want to clear one thing up: I don’t actually think I’m any good at this. I enjoy doing it, and I’m an internet person that puts every thing he does online, but that’s it.

I decided to start doing journal comics. I’m a pretty bad cartoonist but I genuinely enjoy doing it, so I figured this was a pretty good way to do that. I’ve been mucking around with this comic strip for a little while that might happen, or might not, I don’t know. It’s all pretty amateur, but lo-fi is cool, right?

Anyway, this is kind of stupid because I don’t even have a scanner, so I have to scan them at uni, then post them the next day. And I’m starting this the week before our two week mid-semester break. But whatever, like I said, I genuinely enjoy drawing them and that’s the reason I’m doing it. Also I’ve been super bummed lately, so the first few are kind of downers, but that should fix itself up pretty quick. I get over things pretty quickly.

I’m not really sure about the best way to host this, so I’m putting them on flickr and a half-assed tumblr. Let’s see how this goes.
